Junny was created when I was in a very emotional situation, I felt really lost and lonely at the moment and I really hope that there is someone who can be with me, even a pet dog. Then I decided to try to make myself happy and concentrate on what I like to do, which is drawing. Suddenly an idea of creating my own illustration character came to my mind and I decided to design my “imagination pet” which is a Husky, my favourite pet dog.
The name “Junny” is actually from my name Wen Jun. The reason to name him with my name “Jun” is because I hope Junny can bring fun and happiness to the people like I how I used to be. I also hope that I can be the character that I design, always live happily and stay strong. Basically, my concept is to let Junny represent me and I’m representing Junny.
