I had actually created a few new characters as Junny’s friends and I wanna create a big family. So far there is only 1 new character released which is Nanny the kitty. Nanny was created all based on my imagination but there are 2 characters that I actually created based on my real life friends. The reason that I had stopped releasing new characters after Nanny is that I realize that my drawing of Junny is still not consistent enough. I decided to practice more on Junny first then only continue with more character. This is to keep the quality of my artwork.
Currently Juniverse is still in planning. Juniverse is a universe that consists of 3 planets. There is still no specific name for each planet. One of the planets is the animal planet, another one will be a food planet and the last one will be a planet for humans like us. The animal planet lives with talking animals just like Junny and Nanny, the food planet lives with taking and walking foods. There is already some character being designed for animal planet and food planet but not human planet as I’m still considering should I mix reality into it.
Other than just illustration, I am also planning to sell some related products such as stickers, key chain, t-shirts or even plushies. Due to budget issues and also my artwork is not good enough for now, I decided to not start selling products. What I’m doing now is sculpting Junny’s figurine by myself with cheap materials. I’m probably going into toy design field as a part time toy designer, this is inspired by Michael Chuah, Ah B and Messy Desk Studio who are toy designers in Malaysia. Other than that, having a theme cafe using my own brand is one of my dreams. Opening a Junny theme cafe and making it as a brand is one of my plans. I’m also planning to do animation series for kids in the future.
